Unlike adult criminal cases in which the goal is typically restitution or punishment, juvenile delinquency matters are geared towards rehabilitation. The courts attempt to intervene with children who have committed crimes, and to guide these young people into being productive members of society.
The attorneys at Wolf, Baldwin & Associates, P.C. understand the court's mission. With the experience of criminal defense lawyers, and the compassion of parents, we can help young offenders get through their court cases. We can attempt to minimize the impact of their offenses, while using the resources of the court to see that they get the help they need.
Wolf, Baldwin & Associates attorneys have experience in juvenile delinquency cases, and also in general criminal matters, in Montgomery, Berks, and Chester Counties. We have defended clients at preliminary hearings and summary trials in all of the local District Justice Courts. We have negotiated with District Attorneys and handled cases in the Courts of Common Pleas of Montgomery County, Berks County, and Chester County. One of our lawyers, Levi S. Wolf, was a former Certified Legal Intern in the Berks County District Attorney's Office. Our attorneys take pride in having good relationships with the local police, district attorneys, district justices, and judges.
Attorney Levi Wolf has defended one juvenile court case from the Berks County Court of Common Pleas all the way up to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. That case involved
a young man who was interrogated by a school police officer without his parents first being notified, and without Miranda warnings. While the other students involved
pleaded guilty, the evidence against Mr. Wolf's client was suppressed, and his client was not convicted. Levi Wolf has also helped to teach the young jurors, prosecutors, and defense
lawyers in Pottstown's Teen Court program, and is a member of the Montgomery County Bar
Association's Youth and the Law Committee.
