Attorney Fees

We realize that the relationship of attorney and client is not a common, everyday occurrence with most people. This page may help to explain how we charge our fees and what you should expect from us as attorneys.

Though we are located in suburban Philadelphia, our fees are not over-inflated. Our law firm has always made quality legal services available to our clients for a reasonable cost. However, we think that it is inappropriate to publish our fees on the World Wide Web, especially because in some instances they are substantially lower than those of other law firms in the area. We will be happy to give you a fee quote in writing after you have consulted with one of our lawyers. A one-half hour consultation with one of our lawyers is never more than $75.00, and is free for personal injury and workers' compensation cases. We encourage you to call, e-mail, or make an appointment to come see us so that we can decide together how we can meet your needs.

How Our Fees are Determined

You may have heard of contingent fees. Contingent fees mean the attorney is charging the client a percentage of the amount recovered, and can only be paid if the client wins. We charge this type of fee in personal injury, workers' compensation, property damage cases, collection work, and in the settlement of estates.

All other cases are billed at the hourly rate of the attorney performing the work. The relative skill and experience of the attorney working on your case is reflected in the hourly rate of the attorney, and as the service becomes more complex, the time and requisite skill increase and so does the fee. We bill certain services on a flat fee basis only, including most simple Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Living Wills, most real estate transactions, and criminal matters.

For certain matters, we may require that you pay us a retainer, which we will use to pay our fees and any costs which might arise in the handling of your case. This retainer permits us to undertake the responsibility of your representation and prevents us from representing another party in the same matter. By payment of this retainer you are granting permission to the firm to pay our fees out of the retainer, based upon the value of the legal services delivered and the billing arrangements agreed upon between you and our lawyer. Our rates for lawyers and legal assistants are reviewed periodically.

What Can a Client Expect of this Firm

"Levi Wolf ...truly makes the experience of law comfortable and easy. Recognizing that legal terminology and processes may be overwhelming for the non-legal professional, he is able to simplify the process and educate his clients to feel much more confident in dealing with potentially confusing legal matters."
